Training Log: 02/25/13 – 03/03/13
Monday Feb. 25th: Just went through the motions here. Did 1 mile on the treadmill in 8:29 followed by lunges, a plank and some hamstring bridges. Post-tib tendonitis feeling on the right ankle again. It somehow never went away. F me.
Tuesday Feb. 26th: stretches, core, hip
Wednesday Feb. 27th: off, commuter issues. Damn silver line. Glad there’s an MBTA station where I don’t feel like I’ll get shanked. It was my first time at the Courthouse stop and I was amazed by it. It had the look and feel of an airport terminal (and not a bad one either). It’s so cavernous and empty that it looks like it’s just begging for an indoor track in there.
Thursday Feb. 28st: ran to pool in 5:13. 45 mins aqua jogging, 3×5 min interval w/90 sec rest. Ran home in 7:21.
Friday Mar. 1st: Ran outside. F it all. 5.5 mi in 60:51 (11:07 pace overall). Break down:
Ran for 3 miles (8:59, 8:52, 8:58), run/walk combo the rest of the way. It was 2.5 miles too long and I was pretty sore that night and the next day.
Saturday Mar. 2nd: Ran to pool in 5:15. In the pool, I half-heartedly went through a warm up in about 20 mins, then went into 5 x 4 min (w/ 60 sec of active rest). Cooled down for about 4 mins (total of 50 mins of aqua jogging). Ran home the longer way in 7:09.
Sunday Mar. 3rd: off. wah wah
